Hope for a Child partners with the Iganga District Famers Association (IDFA), Uganda, sponsoring 6 of their VSLA facilitators.
By working with the Iganga District Farmers Association and the 6 facilitators, Hope for a Child are creating and enabling 54 new VSLA groups to be created within the next 18 months within the Iganga district.

Program Description
The funding is provided to the Iganga District Farmers Association to enable them to continue to develop, promote and create new VSLA groups within the Iganga District.
The IDFA by partnering with Hope for a Child have committed to:
• Create 54 new VSLA groups.
• Mobilize and develop awareness meetings for the district, local leaders and communities.
• Recruit staff and Community Based Trainers (CBTs).
• Provide training to the facilitators.
• Provide monitoring and follow-up on each of the VSLA groups.
• Ensure that data is collected on the progress of each of the new groups.
