Children's welfare project, Mapheo

Hope for a Child sponsors a full-time Children's Welfare Worker, Moshoeshoe
Moshoeshoe is a trainee children's welfare worker. He is part of the project called Mapheo, a team working with the large numbers of vulnerable children and orphans in the Clarens community. Moshoeshoe works with children and families in the community. The team runs clubs for children providing a safe environment, opportunities for play and learning, spiritual input, and food security. During the week the team visits the homes, monitoring the childrens welfare and enabling other interventions as required.
The team is seeing great success in their work and has won favour in the community and with the local authorities. Moshoeshoe has just left school and has a passion for helping the poor, and enabling the local vulnerable children to have a bright future.
