Rose is our co-ordinator for the work of Hope for a Child in Uganda. She is
overseeing a project with the Iganga District Agricultural Society, which is
currently setting up 54 new VSLA (Village Savings and Loans Associations).
Each group will consist of approximately 25 people, each of whom have an
average of 10 dependents. This will enable us to help 14,000 people rise from
poverty over the next 18 months.

Rose is currently running the pilot project which is setting up two VSLA
groups in the slums of Kampala, the capital of Uganda, as part of the
community initiative of Miracle church. Rose has extensive experience in
community development and welfare work, including working for World
Vision for a number of years. Rose is a member of Miracle Church. She is
married to James, they have a son.

 Hope for a Child contributes to a worker's salary which is set by a local employer based on local worker rates. The salary varies between workers depending on the job role and the local rate for the job. Hope for a Child ensures that the money for each worker is paid reliably, and that each worker actually receives the full amount sent to them.
