Yes you read it right! We think he is crazy too, but Ian Naftel (aka Carpet Man) seems quite looking forward to having his body hair individually plucked out.
Ian
has decided to sacrifice every hair on his body for the sake of Ugandan
children. You have probably heard of waxing for charity - this is the
next level. Ian will allow the Guernsey public to pluck out all
of his body hair individually, asking for 1 measly pound each strand. (Anyone outside of Guernsey is more than welcome to travel over for this remarkable event. It will be truly worth it)
We at HFAC carried out days and days of research, and discovered the
average human body is covered in around 60,000 hairs. Based on this
fact, we concluded that Carpet Man must have an estimated total of 500
million hairs. He is very hairy. Here is another picture if you don't
believe us...

"I usually get my whole body de-haired every year, top-to-toe, otherwise in the summer I get too hot. So I decided I might as well make some money out of it for charity this year" says Ian. "At the moment it is long and well in need of doing."
The plucking will take place on Saturday 20th September, 9am - 4pm, and 21st September, 12.30pm - 2pm at Church on the Rock.
