| | At present we are working on our pilot project in Kampala, Uganda.
Our aim is to replicate this project within Uganda and into other countries where the need is great such as Zimbabwe, Kenya, Zambia and South Africa.
In Uganda today, out of every 10 children, 3 are orphaned to HIV/AIDs, malaria or abandonment. Uganda is one of the least developed countries in the world, with the majority of its population living on the equivalent of 50p per day.
| | In Kampala we partner with Touch, a local charity founded in 1997 by Sara Sebyala. Touch offers help to 500 orphaned and vulnerable children in the form of education, shelter, feeding, social care, clothing, spiritual nurturing, health care and life skills training. They have a vision to see every child realise his or her full potential. In partnering with Touch our aim is to enable the orphaned and vulnerable children under their care to live in extended families in their local communities. The social welfare support and microfinance loans and business training that we provide will ensure that each child has his or her basic needs met.
