Transport, Jingdong Orphanage

Location: Jingdong, Kunming Province, China

Hope for a Child was born soon after a group of friends returned to Guernsey from a life changing trip to a Chinese orphanage, hosted by good friends from Care for Children. This organisation is doing invaluable work to see children in China moved from institutional care into families.

In the orphanage, the staff needed a way of visiting children placed in foster families in the surrounding countryside. The team agreed to raise funds to provide a 4×4.

Hope for a Child was established as they began fundraising to reach this first goal.
