Hope for a Child LBG is a company limited by guarantee incorporated and registered in Guernsey on 14th June 2007.

Board of Directors

The Board is responsible for the high level management of the company, and for its governance and strategic direction, ensuring its objectives, programmes and operations are in accordance with its governing documents and the law. Financial and legal responsibility for the operation of Hope for a Child is shared amongst the directors.

Our directors are also the Members of the company.

Advisors

We have a number of advisors on whom the Board can call when it requires specific advice for making important decisions.

Financial Accountability

We have a responsibility to be faithful stewards, and to maintain integrity and openness in our financial practices. We recognise our accountability to donors and are committed to fulfilling the following standards:

Our financial statements are prepared in accordance with The Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP), UK.

Any fundraising appeals identify the purpose to which proceeds are to be applied, and we ensure that donations are used for the purposes for which they were raised. Hope for a Child primarily provides expertise and training to enable communities to meet their own needs on their own terms. As a result a significant percentage of our revenues are spent on salaries.

Privacy

We maintain tight security on our mailing lists of friends and supporters, and never sell or rent personal information to any third parties. Anyone subscribed to our email lists can easily opt out of receiving communications at any time.
